House of the Year 2024: 2x silver for Meisterstueck-HAUS

Family Home Magazine

In the election for “House of the Year 2024” organized by the Family Home magazine, the Hameln-based prefabricated house manufacturer Meisterstueck-HAUS received the silver award twice in January. 44 manufacturers submitted a total of 111 houses for the election. 60 houses ultimately went into the runoff for the gold and silver awards in the categories Small & Fine, Efficiency, Family, Ecology, Luxury and Innovation, which were awarded by an independent jury of experts.

Meisterstueck-HAUS received silver awards from the jury twice. A modern half-timbered house from the AESTHETIK architectural line was honored in the “Small & Fine” category and an individually planned Bauhaus villa with four children's rooms in the “Family House” category.

"BOX" architecture line honoured as ‘best of 2021’

The magazine Family Home honoured the Meisterstück-HAUS BOX architectural line in its 9-10/21 issue as part of its ‘Best of 2021’ selection.

The editors were impressed by the modular concept of BOX, which offers very individual and exciting solutions for gap development in inner-city areas. One example of this is a 2.5-storey BOX townhouse with a staggered storey, which we realised in Hanover for a family of three.

The Family Home magazine is aimed at families who want to realise their dream of owning their own home. It is part of Family Home Verlag, the specialist portal for builders and modernisers, with advice and tips on all aspects of building.

2x Silver for Meisterstück-HAUS

German Dream House Prize 2021

The Hamelin-based prefabricated house specialist Meisterstueck-HAUS has won two silver medals in the German Dream House Award 2021 - in the Bungalow and Smart Home categories.

A total of 55 house manufacturers competed for the coveted prizes this year, which were awarded by Europe's largest property magazine BELLEVUE and the customer magazine of Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall, Wohnglück. The patron was once again the Federal Association of German Prefabricated Construction (BDF). Originally, over 150 house designs were submitted, which were viewed and assessed in advance by an expert jury. In the end, 56 homes were nominated in a total of eight categories - from bungalows to energy-plus houses. Well over 25,000 readers took part in the online vote to decide on their favourite homes for the German Dream Home Award 2021.

Silver for individual architecture and smart technology

Meisterstueck-HAUS competed for the coveted reader award in the ‘Bungalows’ category with its Midsommer Pent roof design. The Hamelin-based company also entered the race for the jury prize in the ‘Smart Home’ category with its FUSION show home, in which houses with exemplary networked home technology are honoured. Meisterstueck-HAUS has received the silver award for both houses. 

Family Home Readers' Choice Award 2020: Silver for Smart Home FUSION

Meisterstück-HAUS is one of the winners of the ‘Family Home House of the Year 2020’ award.

Meisterstück has now secured the silver award in the ‘Smart House’ category with its ‘Fusion’ show home, which can be viewed at the German Prefabricated House Centre in Mannheim.

In this year's vote for ‘House of the Year 2020’, which was organised for the third time by the Stuttgart-based Family Home magazine, ‘Fusion’ impressed with its complete package of ‘smart’ control functions. It received the silver award in the ‘Smart Home’ category. A total of 60 homes were nominated in six categories. In addition to an independent jury, over 3,500 readers voted online for this year's favourites.

Silver for AESTHETIK country house

German Dream House Award 2020

The German Dream House Award was presented for the ninth time on 5 May 2020. Meisterstück-HAUS was one of the finalists in the ‘Country houses’ category and has now received the coveted silver award.

A total of 55 house manufacturers competed for the German Dream House Award 2020, which is awarded by Europe's largest property magazine BELLEVUE and the customer magazine of Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall, Wohnglück. The patron was once again the Bundesverband Deutscher Fertigbau (BDF). Almost 170 house designs were submitted, which were viewed and assessed in advance by an expert jury. In the end, 56 homes were nominated in a total of eight categories this time - from bungalow to energy-plus house. Around 21,000 readers and users decided on the gold and silver awards.

Meisterstück-HAUS entered the race in the ‘Country houses’ category with a realised customer house from the ‘AESTHETIK’ architectural line - a modern post and beam house with an extension that offers a family of four near Gifhorn plenty of living comfort on almost 200 m2. With success: it has now been honoured with silver at the German Dream House Award 2020.

Silver for FUSION bungalow

German Dream House Award 2018

The German Dream House Award was presented for the seventh time on 9 May 2018 - this time at the Palais in Frankfurt am Main. The ‘FUSION’ bungalow design by Meisterstück-HAUS won silver in the ‘Bungalows’ category.

A total of 44 house manufacturers competed for the coveted prizes, which were awarded by Europe's largest property magazine BELLEVUE and the customer magazine of Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall, Wohnglück. The patron was once again the Federal Association of German Prefabricated Construction. Almost 150 house designs were entered into the competition for the 2018 Dream House award, which were viewed and assessed in advance by an expert jury. In the end, 49 homes were nominated in a total of seven categories - from bungalow to plus-energy house. The gold and silver awards were ultimately decided by around 140,000 votes from readers and users.

Excellent’ rating for AESTHETIK show home

BNK sustainability certification

In 2017, the Meisterstück-HAUS show home ‘AESTHETIK’ in Günzburg underwent sustainability certification in accordance with the assessment system for sustainable small residential buildings (BNK).

The result for the modern half-timbered house planned as an efficiency house 40: a score of 1.5 (‘Excellent’).

2nd place for ‘House in Kent’

German Dream House Award 2017

On 30 June 2017, the 6th German Dream House Award was presented in Schwäbisch Hall. Meisterstück-HAUS took 2nd place in the ‘Country houses’ category. With 25.5% of the votes, our ‘House in Kent’ came just a hair's breadth behind the winner (26%).

‘We are delighted with the positive response from users, especially as all the companies that are recognised in the single-family house sector in Germany took part,’ says Markus Baukmeier, Managing Director of Meisterstück-HAUS from Hamelin. ‘We would like to thank all our employees who contributed to this fantastic building project, our client and occupant of the house for their trust and, of course, everyone who voted for this extraordinary house.’

A total of 56 house builders submitted over 130 designs for the coveted prize, which is awarded by Europe's largest property magazine BELLEVUE and the Schwäbisch Hall customer magazine ‘Wohnglück’ - a record number of entries.

The patron is the Federal Association of German Prefabricated Construction. A total of 133 house designs were submitted, which were scrutinised and evaluated by an expert jury. Five houses were nominated in each of seven categories. These included the ‘House in Kent’ from Meisterstück-HAUS. From 1 February 2017, readers and users were able to choose their dream homes from these 35 house models and win valuable prizes. A total of 60,000 votes were cast.

Build It Awards 2017

The ‘House in Surrey’ is an elegant villa with 300 m² of living space, located in south-west London. In 2017, the exclusive Meisterstück-HAUS in Bauhaus design, which was built using energy-efficient, sustainable timber construction, was honoured as the ‘Best Offsite Manufactured Home’ at the Build It Award!

The prestigious British ‘Build It Award’ honours great architecture every year and celebrates the homeowners, designers and craftsmen who work together to realise amazing projects.

German Prefabricated House Award 2015 | Golden Cube

More than 22,000 readers and online users voted for Germany's favourite house in the 2015 readers' house poll for the major German prefabricated house award “Golden Cube”. Meisterstück-HAUS made it into the top 10 and finished in an excellent 4th place! The award-winning Meisterstück house AESTHETIK 20.11.057 impresses with its clear lines and bright, light living spaces in timber frame construction.

The 39 most renowned house suppliers in Germany presented their most beautiful house designs to the readers of Immobilienscout 24 and the trade magazine publisher and put them to the vote. For all candidates, readers were able to indicate with a click of the mouse how much they liked the designs of the respective prefabricated or solid house manufacturers. The scale ranged from ‘very good’ to ‘not at all’.

‘We are delighted with this award, especially as it was not given by a small jury of experts, but by a large readership,’ says Markus Baukmeier, Managing Director of Meisterstück-HAUS.

2nd place for show house KUBUS - Timber Edition

Family Home Publishing | Readers' Choice 2015

Readers voted the Meisterstück show home KUBUS | Timber Edition in Bad Vilbel into second place in the ‘Houses under €300,000’ category of the Family Home trade magazine's 2015 readers' house poll. Here, too, the competition was fierce: a total of 60 designs from well-known house manufacturers were available for selection in the voting.

‘We are naturally delighted with this proof that our modern timber construction architecture meets the tastes of our clients,’ says Meisterstück-HAUS Managing Director Markus Baukmeier. ‘It is important to prove time and again that energy-efficient and sustainable construction also makes great architecture possible.’

The award-winning house can be viewed at the ‘Eigenheim und Garten’ exhibition in Bad Vilbel.
